Minor Exempt Activities (PDF)

In October 1997, the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) revised the wetlands regulations primarily to incorporate new standards for the Rivers Protection Act, but also to remove certain minor activities from review by local conservation commissions.

Wetlands Bylaw (PDF)

Article 32 - Non-Zoning Wetlands Protection of the General Bylaws is for the purpose of protecting the wetlands, water resources, flood prone areas, and adjoining upland areas in the Town of Westborough, Massachusetts by controlling activities deemed by the Conservation Commission likely to have a significant or cumulative effect on resource area values, including but not limited to the following: public or private water supply, groundwater supply, flood control, erosion and sedimentation control, storm damage prevention, water quality, prevention and control of pollution, fisheries, wildlife habitat, rare species habitat including rare plant and animal species, agriculture, aquaculture, and recreation values, deemed important to the community.
