Transportation

In-town transportation services are provided by the Council on Aging’s Mini-bus through the Senior Center. Transportation is available for medical appointments, hairdresser/barber appointments, errands, and all activities at the Senior Center. Reservations must be made by 12:00 noon at least the day before you need the ride. There is a fare of $1.00 for each trip. You can also purchase a $10.00 or $20.00 punch card for your trips. All vehicles are handicapped accessible. If you require assistance with mobility or are in a wheelchair, your aide will ride for free.

Shopping trips on Tuesday afternoons are to different shopping plazas in the area. The bus begins pick-up at noon. Check the calendar in the Senior Scene for destinations each week. Grocery shopping is on Thursday mornings to Stop&Shop and Roche Bros. Reservations are required for any of these shopping trips.

Transportation to medical appointments in Worcester, Marlborough, Framingham, Southborough, Northborough, Shrewsbury and Milford can be arranged on the Mini-bus or with a Volunteer. A minimum of three days’ notice is required for all out-of-town medical trips.

Limited transportation is available with Volunteer drivers through the Senior Center. You must be able to travel on your own. Arrangements can be made by calling the Volunteer Coordinator at the Senior Center. You are responsible for any tolls or parking fees. We cannot transport you if you have been under any kind of anesthesia during your appointment.
