Treasurer / Collector Department

The Treasurer/Collector’s Office is responsible for billing and collection of real estate taxes, motor vehicle excise taxes, water and sewer charges as well as the receipt of various permits and licenses. In addition, the office is responsible for reconciliation of bank accounts, warrants, long and short-term investments, long and short-term borrowing, payroll processing, and income tax reporting. The Treasurer/Collector’s Office receives, manages and disperses all funds of the Town in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws. The Treasurer’s Office is committed to achieving a high standard of service to the public and municipal employees. Our goal is to ensure the financial stability of the Town through the vigilant monitoring of revenues and expenses, as well as aggressively collecting any outstanding receivables due.

Payments can be made in the office during public hours. If you can not make it to the office during those hours there are other payment options available. There is a secure drop box in front of the building that is checked daily. There is also a link at the top of this text that will direct you to our online payment platform which also includes a phone payment option. Phone payments are not available through our main office line. Lastly, we also accept payments through the mail.
