Meeting Posting Requirements
Please Note: "The Open Meeting Law requires all meetings of a public body be posted at least 48 hours prior to such meeting, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays."
Please Remember: The Town Clerk's Office closes at Noon on Fridays. Any posting sent afternoon on a Friday will not be considered "posted" until we receive it on Monday morning (or the first day of return if a long weekend).
- Example: A meeting posting received by the Town Clerk's Office on a Monday morning, 8 am would not meet the Open Meeting Law requirements for any meeting being held before 8 am on Wednesday morning. If there is a Monday holiday, the earliest a meeting can take place is Thursday morning, 8 am. Please call the Town Clerk's Office with any questions at 508-366-3020!
When posting a meeting please email it to the Town Clerk.
Always check to be sure your meeting has been posted by:
- View the Town Calendar to account for the accurate date placement of the posting!
- Check your email for a response from Town Clerk's Office that it has been posted.
If you find the meeting is not on the calendar, please call the Town Clerk's Office at 508-366-3020.
