Conservation Land

The Commission is the custodian of numerous land holdings in Town. These lands are set aside to be maintained as undeveloped land in perpetuity, and many are used for passive recreation. The Commission is responsible for the maintenance of these lands and for creating rules and regulations for the use and protection of such designated lands. The Conservation Department, working with MA Audubon has developed Principles and Policies for Management of Westborough Conservation Land.

Persons interested in holding event on Conservation Land must complete the Event Approval on Conservation Land Form.

Westborough Community Land Trust (WCLT)

The Westborough Community Land Trust (WCLT) is a private, nonprofit organization created by Westborough residents in 1997 as a response to the increasing development pressures that are rapidly restricting the town’s ability to protect essential natural resources, preserve open space for future generations, and meet current recreation needs.
