The mission of the Planning Department is to serve the residents and business owners by providing oversight of the Zoning Bylaws, Subdivision Rules and Regulations, Master Plan, Open Space and Recreation Plan and Housing Plan. Planning department staff provide technical support to all Town Departments, Boards, and Committees on land use related topics and serves as staff to the Planning Board, and Design Review Board, and as staff liaison to the Open Space Committee, and the Active Transportation and Safety Committee.
