What you need to know about town permitting:

The Town of Westborough is committed to a transparent, smooth and efficient permitting process for all projects that require review by the Building Department, Planning Department, Fire, Police, Conservation, Board of Health, DPW, Zoning Board of Appeals and the Board of Selectmen. Town staff will gladly assist you with determining the permits your project will need and outline all applicable permitting requirements. To help you get started, the town offers the opportunity to meet with all required permitting departments in a pre-application meeting every Wednesday at 2 pm at the DPW Building located at 131 Oak Street.

After your pre-application meeting, you will be ready to go! The Town participates in PermitPro, an online permitting system that allows you to apply for a permit, check the status of a permit, and review permits on properties.

Note: If you are already in the permitting process and haven’t received your permit yet, please check PermitPro first. It will tell you what materials are missing that is causing the delay.
