The Select Board has been considering the purchase of this building for several months in executive session as is permitted by open meeting law. On September 12, 2023 the community heard the first public presentation of this opportunity to purchase this property for the purpose of creating a multigenerational community center that houses the Senior Center and the Recreation Department. The acquisition of the property and associated funding was approved at the 2023 fall Special Town Meeting. This page will follow the progress of this project.

- On October 16, 2023, Town Meeting voted under Article 4 to appropriate $195,350 for the purpose of funding due diligence efforts, operating expenses for FY2024 for when the property is acquired and a public engagement process to establish the final use of the building and schematic design.
