Any operation that plans to sell or distribute alcohol to the general public must obtain a liquor license prior to start of distribution. There are different classes of liquor license ranging from one-day to all-alcohol sales, as well as specific licenses for non-retail businesses (i.e. clubs). Westborough residents may sign up for Westborough Power Choice online through the Westborough Power Choice website or over the phone by calling 844-483-5004. Have your National Grid account information readily available prior to initiating this process. New electricity accounts in Westborough are automatically enrolled in the program and will receive a letter prior to enrollment, in accordance with state law.
License and permit fees administered by the Town Manager’s office must be paid with cash or check. Parking tickets may be paid online through the Kelley & Ryan payment portal.
Yes, parking tickets accrued in Westborough are payable online through this link. Note that there is a $.50 charge for e-Checks and a 3.2% fee ($3.00 minimum) for credit card payments. All parking tickets may also be paid with cash or check in person at the Town Manager’s office, or by mail sent to 34 W Main Street, Westborough, MA 01581.
A common victualler license is required for any operation that dispenses food and/or beverages to be consumed by customers on premises.
Visit the Permits and Licensing page under How Do I and scroll down to Town Manager/Select Board Permits and Licenses. Select the Permit that you are applying for and fill out the required information. Some permits require submission of a Tax Certification Statement and Workers Compensation insurance affidavit as well. Complete all application materials and submit them to the Town Manager’s office as a complete package. Incomplete application packages will not be accepted.
Public records request may be made in person, over the phone, or by email to the Town Manager’s office. This request will be acknowledged by the Town Manager’s office and they will have 10 calendar days to comply with the parameters of the request. Those submitting requests are encouraged to be as specific as possible when making a request.
